Nature as an inspiration for your home in Valencia

More and more people are living in an urban environment. As a result, contact with nature is often hard to find. Nowadays you will also find a lot of greenery in the cities in the form of a beautiful city park, but nothing beats the smells and the silence of nature.

Nature as an inspiration

Whether the beach, the mountains or the forests make you happy, Nuria Muñoz helps people find harmony in the interior, inspired by nature. Bring nature into your home in Valencia. Nuria works according to the principles of Biophilic Design. According to this philosophy, your mood and well-being are largely influenced by the interior of the place where you live and work.

Nuria was born in the Basque Country and lived in different countries. She speaks 5 languages, including Dutch. Through her company Habitarmonia Interior Design she teaches you to look at interior design in a different way. She shares her knowledge of Biophilic Design with you through her workshops, masterclasses, and online courses. She does not determine how you should furnish your home or workplace, but she teaches you to make these choices yourself.

In the vicinity of Valencia you will find many nature reserves to get inspired. For a day out in nature, you can think of:

Sierra Calderona

The Sierra Calderona Natural Park is located northwest of the city of Valencia. The peaks are about 1,000 meters high, and it has a total area of 18,000 hectares. There are nice villages to visit such as: Serra, Naquera, Gilet and Olocou. From here you can take beautiful hikes through a diverse landscape with forests, views and extensive fields with a diverse floral vegetation.

Albufera

South of the city of Valencia you will find the Albufera Natural Park. This lake is the largest freshwater lake in Spain with an area of 2,800 hectares. Every year 300 different bird species, including flamenco’s, breed here. Natural dunes and pine forests have developed between the lake and the Mediterranean Sea. Farmers grow rice around the lake. The rice is used again for the local pride, the Paella.

Montanejos

A little further away, but worth a visit, is the mountain village of Montanejos. The village is known for its thermal baths. In both winter and summer, the water has the same temperature of around 25C. Take a dip in the clear mountain water between the rock walls or take a mountain hike on one of the many paths around the village or walk up to the water reservoir.

Nature is a source of inspiration for almost every painter, writer, sculptor, and architect. Let nature inspire you to improve your quality of life.
